LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT EDUCATION

…helps classroom teachers bring the fun of robotics into the classrooms. With LEGO MINDSTORMS Education, the classroom is converted into a hands-on robotics laboratory! Students will model real-life mechanisms and use creativity, logic, and problem-solving skills while learning key STEM concepts.

Early Simple Machines & Structures

Early elementary students will explore pulleys, levers, gears, wheels and axles, energy, buoyancy, and balance and discover basic structure concepts; balance within structures, building, and stability by building fun and simple models.
Kindergarten: Early Structures Set
Students learn basic structures concepts with hands-on exploration! Concepts include balance within structures, ways of building structures, and stability. By building a variety of models, children can determine what is the best shape for the job. It’s ideal for developing design and problem-solving skills. The set is designed for use by teams of two to three children. In addition to the elements, it includes teacher notes with support for 16 activities, 14 investigation and problem-solving cards, and an inventory list.
First Grade: Early Simple Machines Set III
With this updated version of the Early Simple Machines Set, young students build fun and simple models such as a seesaw, rolling vehicle, spinning top, raft, and many more. By playing with and manipulating the models, they experience pulleys, levers, gears, and wheels and axles while exploring energy, buoyancy, and balance. The set is designed for use by teams of two or three children. It includes full-color activity cards with pictorial instructions for eight models; a plastic punch-out sheet with eyes, sails, scales, and wings; and a plastic bin for easy cleanup and storage.

LEGO Education WeDo Robotics

Students explore science, technology, engineering, mathematics, language arts, literacy, and social studies concepts by building moving models including animals, a goal keeper, and more. Students can work individually or in teams and gain critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Second Grade: WeDo Construction Set
The LEGO® Education WeDo Robotics Construction Set is an easy-to-use set that introduces young students to robotics. Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as language and literacy. The construction set comes with printed building instructions for 12 models and contains more than 150 elements including a motor, tilt sensor, motion sensor, and LEGO USB Hub.

Simple & Motorized Mechanisms

Students discover first hand more advanced mechanical concepts, pneumatics, and renewable energy by building and exploring machines and mechanisms, investigating motorized machines, calibrating and capturing wind, and studying gearing mechanisms.
Third and Fourth Grade: Simple & Motorized Mechanisms
Students will build and explore machines and mechanisms, investigate motorized machines, calibrate and capture wind, and study gearing mechanisms with this core brick set. The set contains 396 LEGO® Technic elements and full-color building instruction booklets for 10 principle models and 18 main models. Students can carry out a broad range of activities within design technology, science, and mathematics.

LEGO Mindstorms Education

Upper-elementary students are engaged in science, technology, engineering, and math with the LEGO Mindstorms Education platform. Students model real-life mechanisms and use creativity, logic, and problem-solving skills to meet challenges while learning necessary science, technology, engineering, and math skills.
Fifth and Sixth Grade: LEGO Mindstorms Education
Students learn basic structures concepts with hands-on exploration! Concepts include balance within structures, ways of building structures, and stability. By building a variety of models, children can determine what is the best shape for the job. It’s ideal for developing design and problem-solving skills. The set is designed for use by teams of two to three children. In addition to the elements, it includes teacher notes with support for 16 activities, 14 investigation and problem-solving cards, and an inventory list.
