To our KTEC West families,  For those of you who were ticketed by the police on Oct. 14th, I sincerely apologize. I have been working hard to get these tickets resolved with the Police Department. There was a definite misunderstanding and it has been resolved. The Kenosha Police Department would like all of those people who were ticketed to bring in their tickets for review.  Below is some information I would suggest you share with the KPD when you bring your ticket in. I was ticketed for “standing” on the school side of the street at KTEC West, 5710 32nd Avenue.  I was in my vehicle when the ticket was given. The signs that are located on the school side of the street are “No Parking” signs, and not “No parking, stopping, or standing.” KTEC met with the city before the school year began and made sure that the correct signs were put in for our drop-off procedures.

Our concern is our children’s safety. KTEC’s drop-off procedures are designed to keep our children safe. Thank You.

To avoid future circumstances like this I want to clarify a few things:

Please follow city laws and park the proper distance from crosswalks, stop signs, and driveways.

Do not get out of your car in the drop off / pick up lane. You will be ticketed for leaving your vehicle because that would be considered parking.

Please pick up and drop off by the adult on duty on 32nd and 33rd Avenue.

If you run into any further issues please contact me on my direct line 262-359-7103.
