Don’t let your child experience the “summer slide!”  Learning doesn’t need to stop just because the school year does. There are many ways to keep your child’s brain sharp over the summer.  Our KTEC resource page has links to tons of educational websites and other learning tools.

You can also find great projects and fun learning websites on the KTEC Pinterest page.

Make sure to continue reading with your child and encourage them to explore the outdoors.

I want to make all students and staff aware of a new state statute enacted in April 2016 regarding threats of harm against any person. Act 311 generally states that any individual who makes real or false claims regarding shootings, bomb threats or to cause any other bodily harm to others is guilty of a Class I felony. Since its enactment, local law enforcement has started charging individuals, including students, in line with Act 311 if they have made threats against our schools. Making threats is not a joking matter and individuals may face fines and/or imprisonment for their actions, whether intentional or not. Do not ruin your future by making a threats, it is not funny or commendable.

KTEC has many ways to share all the things going on. If you click on the social media links at the top right of this page, you can see students at work, great information about STEM and education, and get reminders & updates about KTEC and community events.

Our KTEC Facebook Page has daily posts with photos and videos of students, event reminders, and other relevant information.

Subscribe to the Kenosha School of Technology Enhanced Curriculum’s YouTube channel to see videos of district competitions, performances, and our KTEC students in action.

We even have a Pinterest page! You can find great engineering crafts, experiments, articles on STEM and how to help your children succeed, inspirational stories about amazing discoveries and people achieving amazing things, links to great websites for students, and of course some humor!

KTEC shares our accomplishments and connects globally with other educators, engineers, corporations, and more through our @KTECschool twitter account and Linkedin.
